The awards are designed to recognize outstanding achievements in creativity and innovation.
Membership in the Master Pools Guild is by invitation only and is earned by being the best custom builder in a respective area Founded in 1962, by builders from across the continental United States, the Guild is now the largest international network in the industry with over 100 members in Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, South Africa, United Kingdom and across the United States including Hawaii. New Aquatic Center
New Aquatic Center
Jacksonville Country Day School is proud to announce the new Aquatic Center is now open. On Friday, May 29, the students of JCDS enjoyed their last day of school in the new Aquatic Center. It was a pure joy to watch the children laugh and play for the first time in the new facility.
The Aquatic Center consists of two pools — an eight-lane, 25-meter pool, and a 597 square-feet special purpose pool which ranges from 23″ to 32″ in depth. The new pool deck features light colored cool deck pavers to prevent patrons from burning their feet. The Aquatic Center is fenced in with a black wrought iron fence reaching 6 feet in height.
This new facility has opened the door to numerous possibilities for furthering our own educational programs, and bringing in local community swim programs. The JCDS community owes a debt of thanks to the many people who stepped forward in the past two Annual Funds to bring such a world-class facility to our campus.

Young Writers’ Workshop and Book Fair
Jacksonville Country Day School now has a state-of-the-art aquatic center, an exciting new swim program and an improved physical education curriculum, made possible by the dedication of the JCDS community and Annual Fund. Through an extensive search, JCDS contracted Florida Bonded Pools to build a new aquatic center. During the construction, JCDS and Florida Bonded Pools developed a connection beyond a business relationship.
Jeff Clarkson, President of Florida Bonded Pools, has a deep appreciation for the JCDS community and became captivated with the mission of the school. When approached by the school to participate in its corporate sponsorship program, Clarkson quickly agreed to support two large school events, the 2010 Young Writers’ Workshop and the 2010 Book Fair.
Clarkson feels particularly strong about supporting the Young Writers’ Workshop because JCDS is offering children in the Jacksonville community the opportunity to become better writers. As an added benefit, the visiting young writers will have the opportunity to use the new Aquatic Center.
JCDS would like to recognize Jeff Clarkson and his company, Florida Bonded Pools, for the outstanding work on the new Aquatic Center and for their extreme generosity and support of JCDS.
50 Years and Counting
Our original slogan all those years ago was “Forget the Jet Set, join the Wet Set!”. As catchy as that was and as relevant as it was in the 50’s and 60’s, we have introduced a new slogan for Florida Bonded Pools, “Swim-4-Life”. The new slogan has many meanings. The main thought behind this slogan is that it has been proven that people who swim regularly have longer lives than those who exercise regularly in different ways. See our News feed about the benefits of a swim-4-life lifestyle and see why we know swimming is the best exercise.
