We worked hand in hand with a landscape company (Earth Works in Jacksonville Florida) to build this beautiful natural stone waterfall. This feature adds such beauty to this main attraction area to entice renters to immediately know this is the place want to purchase. There is also a (17) head cascade fountain that meets guest when they drive up to the rental office or one of the sites entrances. This project was completed on time and on budget.

This commercial swimming pool located in Jacksonville Florida has everything a renter could want! The free form section allows for an aesthetic view of a natural setting, the (3) natural stone waterfalls give you the feeling of being in a tropical oasis of tranquility, and for the competitive swimmers it has (2) swim lanes for competition. The pool is over 137,000 gallons and has pack style equipment by Compac. There is also a (17) head cascade fountain that meets guest when they drive up to the rental office or one of the sites entrances. This project was completed on time and on budget.

There is a gentleman in Jacksonville that has a website named “Vintage Jacksonville”. The website is “a place to share the work of Jacksonville photographer Loyd Sandgren and from time to time, other vintage photography focusing on Jacksonville.” He takes interesting vintage photos and writes a little bit about the history of the photo and the even or place in the photo. We were fortunate enough to have him write a quick bit about us and a vintage photo he found of one of our work crews getting ready to build some of the finest swimming pools Jacksonville Florida has seen! Honors Given To Florida Bonded Pools By The Master Pools Guild

Tampa, Florida – On March 14, 2012, a warm breeze & a light Latin tune set the tone for the Master Pools Guild spring meeting held this year in Tampa. Eighty percent of Guild member builders were in attendance joined by annual sponsors, Biolab, Pentair, Pool Corp, Zodiac, Hayward, A & A Manufacturing, Arch/Lonza & Pebble Technology as well as several pool & spa industry professionals. The Master Pool Guild Annual Excellence Awards were presented on Wednesday evening honoring 44 members with either bronze, silver &/or gold awards for design. Florida Bonded Pools (a Jacksonivlle Florida Based swimming pool and spa company) received five awards this year for outstanding design, one bronze, two silver & two gold awards.

The annual meeting included a builder/vendor breakfast Thursday morning during which speaker Dean Lindsay shared “The Progress Challenge.” Educational sessions included presentations by Mark Dorsey – Medallion Pools, NC., Cham Carpenter – Prestige Pools & Spas, OK & Tim Rainey, Jr. & Brent Longbotham – Rainey Pools, TX. The closing dinner included a much requested repeat by Randy Picklemann – (Curtis Pools, FL) of his S.O.B speech given at the Guild’s 40th Anniversary Celebration. S.O.B, short for sons of builders, of which there is no shortage among this group. Following Mr. Picklemann’s speech, the position of the Guild’s Chairman of the Board was passed from Mark Reed of Memphis Pools, to Jeffrey Clarkson, President of Florida Bonded Pools, both of which are second generation Master Pools Guild members. The evening continued with Latin music & salsa dancers who had attendees up & out of their seats throughout the entire evening.

Always a time of renewal of friendships, this gathering of members of the Guild was also infused with a fresh sense of excitement and anticipation for the 2012 season. Laughter & optimism were shared in abundance and the meeting adjourned with all in attendance looking forward to a fabulous 2012 season and to meeting in Vancouver B.C. in October to celebrate in grand style the Guild’s 50 year anniversary.

Zero Edge Pool and Spa (By Jacksonville Swimming Pool & Spa Contractor)

This zero edge pool and spa in Jacksonville Florida is inspiring to say the least. The pictures honestly do not do it justice. From the moment you walk in the front doors to the view of the backyard oasis through the back windows and doors, to the moment you are lounging on the Frontgate loungers on the sun shelf (next to the Ipe wood stepping platforms across the reflecting pool area), you will feel as if you are at a 5 star resort!

The water and the deck are the same height for approximately 75% of this pool, with flagstone coping on the inside of the pool shell and the edge of the deck with a gutter (a picture of this detail was added as well as the general working drawing page so you can see a bit more of the detail that goes into our pools) that runs below the deck to circulate the pools water. There are (2) fire bowls on either side of the 20′ vanishing edge weir that look over the lower fire pit and Intercostal waterway, (1) fire & water bowl on a raised sheet tile column, (13) LED lights, (2) sconces that fall into the vanishing edge trough by the lower fire pit area, and the spa is under the pools water until you turn the swimming pool into “spa mode” and the water in the pool lowers just enough so it doesn’t mix with the spas water and you can sit in the hot spa and not get the pools cold water in the spa.We also had CLI create a special color interior just for this pool. They also added abalone shell to add a sparkle to the interior. The pool and spa pumps have variable frequency drives so you can dial the pumps into a specific gallon per minute or RPM, so you have the right flow for your features and you can save money when the features are not on and run the pumps slower to circulate the pools water.

As you can see this pool has just about everything you could want. We are very proud to have been a part of this project. The project was fun to design and build, and the owner was great to meet and work with. We still perform pool cleaning and maintenance on this pool every week to make sure it stays in great shape!

For this project we installed (2) swimming pools and (1) spa. One of the swimming pools is a lap pool with racing lanes, and the other is a sport pool. It was built for an apartment complex that is located close to a college so the owners wanted to attract college students with activity pools and a spa. The addition of a swimming pool with fun features like this can dramatically enhance the amount of renters that are interested in choosing your location over another. We finished this project on time and on budget.

How many gallons of water does a 8 x 75 foot pool hold?

Answer:

Without knowing the depths of the pool or the shape, this question is difficult to answer. However, if this is a rectangle pool with standard depths of 3′-0″ to 5′-0″ the answer is below the following formula…
The formula is Length x Width x Average Depth x 7.481 = Total Gallons.
8 X 75 = 600 Sq Ft (this is the surface area of the pool) 600 x 4 (average depth) = 2,400 (Total square feet) 2,400 x 7.481 (how many gallons are in a Sq Ft of water) = 17,954.40 Gallons
